Statements from the new VCF player
Signing for Valencia CF
Excited is the word that best describes this moment. I’m really looking forward to getting started with my teammates, the coaching staff, and I’m very enthusiastic about this new project. Two things were especially important: when Valencia CF calls, I prioritize that above everything else. From the moment I found out they were interested, I didn’t hesitate. I just wanted to come here. They showed their trust and eagerness to have me from the very beginning, and that means a lot. As players, we like to feel important and to have that sense of belonging.
First day as a Valencia player
"Lots of medical tests, getting to know the teammates, coaching staff, and their team. The excitement you bring with you helps you see everything in a much more positive light, and honestly, the first contact with my teammates went really well."
On Corberán
"I’ve met him in person and that trust is very important."
Mestalla Stadium
"It speaks for itself—one of the best stadiums in Spanish football, with an incredible history and a demanding fanbase, which is exactly what a club like this deserves. I can’t wait for the first match at Mestalla. I once spoke with my father—we were driving by the stadium and we said: ‘Can you imagine playing in La Liga one day, and in a stadium like Mestalla?’ Now, I get to experience it as a home player."
Preseason
"It’s time to work, to build up fitness, absorb the coach’s ideas, understand what he expects from us, and be ready for the first matchday, which has to be treated like a final."
Message to the fans
"Trust in us. I’m coming with huge excitement and drive. You can already see the hard work, the responsibility that comes with playing for Valencia CF, and I’m convinced we’ll give everything we’ve got on the pitch. That’s the very least you can do when you wear the Valencia CF shirt."
